The department offers two undergraduate degrees, a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science with a major in geography. The Department of Geography emphasizes the integration of human and physical geography and encourages the use of geospatial technologies (GIS, Remote Sensing, and Cartography). Our areas of specialization include the American West, biogeography, climatology, cultural historical geography, land use planning and water resources.
The Department offers a master of science (M.S.) degree in Geography, a M.S. in Land Use Planning Policy and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geography.
