The Geography Program (within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences) offers a B.A. degree program that includes a full range of courses in the fundamentals of geography, taught mainly by full-time faculty. The program is designed to provide the student interested in economic, physical, or social geography with the background necessary for obtaining a rewarding career in government (federal, state, local) or private industry, as well as preparing students for graduate work.

The intention of the Geographic Information Science Certificate is to provide undergraduates at UC Denver with a mechanism for demonstrating capabilities in spatial techniques in the social and/or physical sciences. The focus of this certificate is on a broad array of geotechniques, including geographic information systems, remote sensing, cartography, and statistics, which give students additional analytical skills to take into the workplace or on to graduate school. This certificate is designed for geography and geology majors as well as non-majors. 

The UCD Master of Engineering program - Geographic Information Systems (M.Eng-GIS) option is offered as an online program.
