The Geography program at Louisiana Tech University offers students a range of academic opportunities.  Course options include introductory human and physical geography classes.  Advanced courses cover topics ranging from pop culture to landscape studies to industrial site location.  Students graduating with a degree in Geography will enter the job market well rounded; educated in the classic liberal arts tradition, but with computing skills desired by employers in the 21st century.  

The Geographic Information Science (GIScience) program is an interdisciplinary degree program between the Department of Social Sciences and the School of Forestry. The degree program is primarily concerned with educating students for a variety of career fields that require the expertise in geospatial technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, computer cartography, and global positioning system (GPS).
