The Geography program at Louisiana Tech University offers students a range of academic opportunities. Course options include introductory human and physical geography classes. The Geographic Information Science (GIScience) program is an interdisciplinary degree program between the Department of Social Sciences and the School of Forestry. The degree program is primarily concerned with educating students for a variety of career fields that require the expertise in geospatial technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, computer cartography, and global positioning system (GPS).
