At Texas A&M College Station, the Department of Geology and Geophysics offers the following undergraduate opportunities: B.A. in Geology and B.S. in Geology/Geophysics.
Graduate work in geology is offered at both the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) levels. Programs are designed to provide the student with an understanding of the fundamentals of geology and related disciplines. Research investigations comprise a significant part of each program.
The Department of Geology & Geophysics has been at the forefront of petroleum research and teaching nearly since its inception in 1922. The Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Geosciences is part of the pursuit of a MSc or PhD in Geology or Geophysics. It is not a separate degree and may not be attained separate from our degree programs.
