The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Department offers over 45 undergraduate courses covering a wide breadth of earth and marine and environmental sciences. Scripps Institution of Oceanography offers a B.S. degree and a contiguous B.S./M.S. degree in Earth Sciences, an academic minor in Marine Science, and B.S. degrees in Environmental Systems with specializations in Earth Science and other B.S. and a B.A degrees.
A graduate department of the University of California at San Diego, Scripps is one of the oldest and largest centers for global science research and graduate training in the world. More than 300 research programs are now conducted at Scripps, aimed at gaining comprehensive understanding of the oceans, atmosphere and structure of the Earth. The graduate department of Scripps Institution of Oceanography offers instruction leading to Ph.D. degrees in Oceanography, Marine Biology, and Earth Sciences.
